If you are looking to buy ski wear for an upcoming trip to the slopes, read on: Price check has sourced deals for jackets, ski pants and salopettes to suit different budgets. Be aware that stock flow changes rapidly and colours on offer vary from outlet to outlet.

For women, the best online price is with Gaynors at 110.99 plus delivery, with Wild Track next best at 118.95 plus delivery. In store, Cotswold Outdoor is charging just 159 while Millets and Blacks price the jacket at 159.99.

Salopettes and ski pants

The Helly Hansen Men's Legend pant has a best online price for the "azid green" colour of 89.99 plus 3.95 delivery at Ski Mania. However, Tallington Lakes offers both g! reen and black at 90.92 plus 7.50 postage to the UK mainland. Snow and Rock, along with John Lewis, offer the best in-store price of 120.

The Spyder Men's Dare Tailored Ski Pant are a premium insulated ski pant that is not for the budget-conscious. The best online price is with LD Mountain Centre at 242.99 and Gear Zone at 245, with Snow and Rock the best in-store price at 270.

Women's budget salopettes are cheapest at Matalan, which is charging 22 plus 3.95 postage.

The Columbia Alpine Invader pant are made using Columbia's waterproof and breathable Omni-Tech outer shell fabric with a lightly insulated lining, and is cheapest online at Outwood Sports 127.99 including UK second-class delivery for the "deep teal" colour. If you fancy a black pair you can get them at Surf Dome for 134.99. The best in-store price is 150 with Snow and Rock.

Membership discounts

Dare 2b offers a range of clothing for skiing, and you can get a 15% discount on all items. Go Outdoor carries many of the items mentioned above and offers customers a 10% year-long discount on many items if they buy a card for 5.50. So, for example, the North Face Men's Evolution Alpine Ski Jacket is available for 153 in store.

You can become a member of the Ski Club of Great Britain for as little as 20 (for those aged under 24) and qualify for discounts of 10% in stores such as Blacks, Millets and Ellis Brigham, and 15% in Cotswold Outdoor.
