HDFC raises retail lending rates by 25 bps

MUMBAI: Housing Development Finance Corp , India's top mortgage lender, said on Monday it would raise its retail prime lending rate on housing loans by 25 basis points with effect from Tuesday.

"This is in line with the rates of interest in the economy, which have hardened due to rising inflation and shrinking liquidity in the domestic market," the company said in a statement.
